Numerous applications from men desiring to go havo had to be rejected. Tho Inspector of Polico received messages all day from men, and it is evident that hundreds could bo sent if Wellington required it. Dannovlrho, November 2. This morning twenty odd men joined the special train here to procccd to Wellington to act as special constables. Later in tho day a body of thirty men arrived from tho Akitio district, with the intention of proceeding to Wellington to assist tho strikers.
