Mr. John Hennessy, a friend of exGovernot Sulzer, has instigated proceedings against "Boss" Murphy with the object of bringing to light corruption and the methods Tammany utilj isek against those in disfavour, i Mr. Hennessy gave a list containing 'fifty names .to the District who promises a thorough investigation. . \ _ Mr. Hennessy recently explained to : a trowded meeting in Now York that Mr. Sulzer while Governor resisted every attempt 'at bribery. This proved distasteful to Tammany, which thereby lpst eomo (power. Mr. Hennessy said ho did not bobeliove that Mr. Glynn, who has been appointed Governor, would bo more pliant. He had no doubt Tammany would also find somo reason for lis (Mr. Glynn's) removal.. Mr. Sulzer had never been Governor of New York State except nominally.
