An unlicensed orator in Brisbane recently was evidently determined on being hoard by the public for a short while, at any rate, for tho police, on attempting to arrest- him for speaking without a permit, found that, he was securely chained to a verandah post. Tho police quickly got to work with a hammer and chisel, and flftcr somo littlo difficulty, the bonds wore broken, and tho man was taken to the loek-Up in a cab.
