DAY'S EVENTS IN THE CITY.
THE TENTH DAI. STRAIN. TELLING. PN ; STRIKERS. Yesterday marked the tenth day of tho strike, and there ia no; doubt that a large section of the men are becoming discontented. A common remark is "1 wish it was all over. This is no good to me." It has become rather avident' that the "waiting game," as some of the strike leaders call it, is tolling, and members of the committees now look worn. It is understood that there is a split in the executive's ranks as well as among the rank and fife. It was stated yesterday that Mr. F. Curtico (president of the Watorside Union) had -resigned, arid ajso • that Mr._ Q. Bruce,' assistant-secretary, was "tired of it "but these reports were not confirmed' ''-Many of the strikers openly remarked that thoy had had jobs offered to thorn elsowhoro.-.; When asked why they had not accepted the position, the invariablo reply was: "Well, I would, but it would not be doing a, fair thing
