ADMIRAL'S WIFE ACCUSED OF POISONING. By Telegraph—Presa Association—Oopyrifiit Nov; York, October 30. At Plymouth, Massachusetts, Mrs. Eaton, wifo of Admiral Eaton, who died from poisoning, has been tried and acquitted on a chargo of having murdered her husband. Admiral Eaton bore a reputation for eccentricity. He was noted for giving strange orders while serving in the Navy, and occasionally becamo intoxicated. His ; wifo ; it was alleged, administered the poison to him while tho Admiral was undergoing medical treatment. . The case bore a resemblance to the Maybrick murder trial,- both women being prominent in American society.
The case for the defence was that there was an absence of motive, and that Mrs. Eaton had lost tho benefit of the Admiral's pension by the lattor's, death.. ''
