In connection with tho -proposed tour of New South Wales, tlio Northern Union has decided to offer an incrcas© on the last tour's terms to twenty-sis players of the Houghton. Only the cream of tho best team will be sent. George Gray, the billiardiat, has challenged anyone to a level match of 18,000 up, on level terms, with ivory balls. Richard Wootton, the trainer, is the Australian billiard player's backer, Wootton is willing to back Gray up to £500 aside.
