EXTRAORDINARY APATHY.

Extraordinary apathy has been the chief feature of the general election, which is being .held under newly-granted manhood suffrage. Signor Giolitti's triumph is a fiffegone conclusion. f There was some rioting at Amal.fi, and thirty people wero wounded by revolver shots at F'iesole. A revolver shot at Hjivo killed n boy. Violent scenes wore witnessed in the south, and an elector was killed in tlie outskirts of Naples, while a carpenter was assassinated at Cotania.
