"The last-named fell at the third fence (sod wall). Crossing the spar fence the firstJime, Kingsway led from Gondolier, Master Webb, Silver' Monarch, ana Addnought. Tho order was much the same as the field came over the double brush in front of tho stand, except that Silver Monarch had dropped bncK, and Himitangi had run up into fifth position. Going down the back the last time, the field closed up. Kingsway fell at the post and rails, leaving Gondolier leading from Himitangi, Master Webb, _ and Addnought. Gondolier maintained the lead, and won by two lengths from Himitangi, who was four lengths ahead 'of Addnought. Tho only others to complete the course were Major Webb 'and Grit Lawless. At the three furlongs post, Adrbit had run into second place behind Pavlova, the pair being clear of the field. An exciting finish resulted In favour of Adroit by a head from Pavlova, who was about three lengths ahead of Ngarua. The next to finish were Vocation and Mouette. Time, imin. 15 3-ssec. Winner trained by J. Ayres. Considerable delay oocurred at tho start, and eventually Lady Moutoa was badly left. When tho field settled down the leaders were Parky, Dearest, Cheddar and Expect, with Glenfinnan and Ariom last. At tho five furlong post, Dearest was leading from Expect, Parky, Ngatiraunui, and Tree Lucerne. A little further On Expoct took charge of affairs, and ho led into the straight from Byron, Dearest, Ngatiraunui, Ladoga and Awahou. At the distance, Ladoga had the measure of tho field, and, on going on, lie won by a bare length from Expect, who was a length and a-quarter in front of Ngatiraunui. Byr<Jn was fourth, Awahou fifth, Kilrain sixth, Imagination seventh, and Tree Lucerne and Lady Moutoa last. Time, lmin.. 42 3-ssec. When fairly into the straight Charmilla assumed the lead, and finishing full of running, won by three lengths from Hyettus, wno was three-parts of a length in fiont of Balboa. (Winner trained by E. J. Rae.) Los Angelos was the last to leave the mark, the pace being set by Merry Roe and Peroneal. Going round the; first bend, the order was Merry Roe, Peroneal, Bonny Helen, Immer, and Soltano, with Bleriot whipping in the field. At the mile post Merry Roe was leading by a couple of 'lengths from Bonny Helen, and then in a clustor followed Soltano, Immer, Peroneal, and Emperador. As they raced down the back Merry Roe increased her lead and she raced past the six furlongs post four lengths ahead of Soltano j who was followed by Bonny Helen, Peroneal, and Immer. Before reaching the half-mile post Soltano was done with, and Autumnus gave chase to Morry Roe. The latter had a clear lead coming into the straight and she lasted long enough to win by three parts of a length from Autumnus, who. was a clear length ahoad of Emperador. Next in order came Immer, Bonny Helen, Los Angelos, Bronze, Peroneal, and Bleriot, with Soltano last. Time, 2min. 8 4-sseo.—a record for the race. RUAHINE . Tattorloy then took up the running, and led round the bend, into the straight, followed by Aratiatia, Patronale, and Beldame. In the run to the post Tatterley held his own, and won by a bare length from Patronale. ' The latter was a head in front of Glen--1 fern, who finished very fast on tho out--1 side.
