Bringeru. There .was a full muster of tho employees of the local branch, the presentation \ras made by Sir. Ed. Tingey. The firm's gift took the form of a very handsome clock, with tho . following inscription engraved on same: "Presented to H. R. Bringezu, from Messrs. R. and Tingey and Co., Ltd., for 30 years' faithful services. October 24, 1913. A beautiful silver jewel-case for Mrs. Bringezu, and an illuminated address, of which the following was the text:— "Presented to Henrich Rudolf Bringezn, by. Messrs. R. and B. Tingey, Ltd. (Wanganui branch), to commemorate the voluntary termination of thirty years' faithful service in" tho employ of tho firm. This address is designed to mark tho firm's recognition, of your sterling loyalty and outstanding abality as an artisan, anil to be to yon a testimony of our regret at having to say good-byo to one who has been for so long connected with our business.' It is our earnest wish that you may long lift spared to enjoy the leisure you have so well earned, nnd that peace, liappiness, and contentment may mark tho closing years of an industrious and honourable life.—Signed, E. The sentiments expressed In the address were endorsed and supplemented bv Mr. Tingev in a few well-chosen remarks, after which Mr. Herd, en behalf of tho employees, made tho nresentation of a nair of beautiful water-colour paintings, suitably fram»d, and a handsome smoker's outfit. Mr. Herd paid a liieh tribute to Mr. Bringezn's qualities, both as a workman and a comrade, and Mr. G. Pur««r endorsed the eulogy, after which, on the call of Mr. P. T). Tingey, hearty cheers were given for Mr. Brlngoiiu. The N.Z.
