Tho Marquis of Lincolnshire, who, a.a Earl Carrington, was at ono time President of the Board of Agriculture, interviewed regarding tho land proposals outlined by Mr. Lloyd-George, Chancellor of tho Exchequor, said ho heartily approved of the proposals, many of wliich had been necessary, in liis estimate, for years.

Josse Colling 3 (Liberal Unionist), in ail' interview, contrasts Mr. LloydGeorge's apparent unwillingness to allow tho farmers or tho labourers to bocomo owners by State aid with tho principle of ownership adopted by tho unionists. The latter unfortunately did not possess a leader With tho Chancel-' lor's fighting quality, or they would carry; tho day against Mr. LloydGeorgo's "rotten proposals."
