SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
Present indications are for increasing westerly winds and fair to cloudy weather, with scattered showers. Conditions are still unsettled, and the barometer unsteady, with a falling tendenoy. The disturbance which passed through Cool: Strait on Thursday evening was of a very unusual type, showing little change in barometrlo pressure, but accompanied by heavy rain in districts in the vicinity of Cook Strait.
