Attention is drawn to an announcement appoaring in tliis issVio to the effect that the aft union which is being hold by the Wellington Cricket Association will bo drawn on November 7, aud it is requested that the blocks of hooks held by Boilers should be returned to the treasurer, Mr. Martin, by October 31, at latest. Tho secretary reports that 17,000 tickets arc distributed for sale, and it is hoped by the Art Union Committee that a special effort will be mado to dispose of these. This art union is by far tho biggest effort that has been mado so far by any sports body in the Dominion, and it is hoped that by this means tho Wellington Cricket Association will bo pub Ctit of debt.
