Tiio Blackball Coal Company's new collier Ngairtita arrived at lata on Wc-clnesday night, after a voyage of G2 days from Middlesbrough, where she vas built at the y-arda of the Smith Dock and Engineering Co. The Ngakuta Is not unlike tho Ngahere and Ngatoro, but is somewhat- larecr. The scantlings of tho hull are in oxccsb of Hoi'd s rules, and the steamer is of specially strong construction. Her principal dimensions are Length, 27tft.: b.«im, 39ft.; moulded depth, 18ft. sin.; loaded draught, 16ft. 6in. Bhe has a capacity o* 230" tons, including 260 tons of bunker coal on lier . summer freeboard-. The whole of the living Quarters in tho Bhii) are well furnished with every convenience* and with steam heaturs. Tho propelling machinery, supplied by Messrs. Bichardsons, W-ostgartn and Go..
