Ward (Leader of the Opposition) asked the Prime, Minister whothcr ho could give the House any information about the waterside workers' strike, and whothcr ho had made any attempt to mediate between the parties. He also asked if tho Prime Minister had any information about Huntly. The Prime Minister said that at the present moment efforts were bein" made by himself -to bring about a settlement in connection with both disputes. He was not going into dotails about what ho waß doing or proposed to do, but he had reason to believe that at least one of theso disputes would bo settled in tho vory near future, perhaps that day.
