POVERTY BAY RACES.

REDLOH SCORES IN BIG EVENT. (By Tolerraph.—Pr«e« Association.) Clsborno, October 24. The Poverty Bay Turf Club _ Spring Mooting was concluded to-day in ideal woather, although after the teeming rain of the previous night the going for a whilo was heavy. I'horo was a good attendance. During the day the totalisator handled £11,355, as compared with £12,037 for the corresponding day last year, and the total investments for this meeting wore £21,679, as compared with £22,588 last year. The results aro: —

Auldearn made little or no attempt at the jumps, but Bimply Bmaßhed through each hurdle, leaving a gap in each one. Aklgown held a neck's lead, and Tatimi, ridden hard, succeeded in pushing his nose in front, but, just on the post, Aldgown made a desperate effort and landed homo by an inch after one of the best finishes seen on the course.
