An orange, locally grown, is at present being exhibited in a shop window in the "Otaki Mail" buildings. It is the size of a cricket ball, appears to be quite ripe, .and' is without a blemish. Tho grower 'has' procured quite a number, all of which havo proved of fine flavour. GREYTOWN. Tho Masterton and Carterton Choirs came down to Greytowu on Wednesday ■ night. Tile Rev. H. Watson preached tho sermon on St. Luko. A good hearty servico was held. Mr. Compton presided at the organ. After tho service a short meeting of the C.E.M.S. was held. The cliuroh was well decorated for tho occasiop. CARTERTON. Mr. Oolin Campbell, of Olarevalle, railed a truck of fat lambs (Southdowns), from Carterton to the Gear Company at Wellington yesterday morning. This is the first consignment to the freezing companies this season. The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Automobilo Association is to bo held in Featherston on Saturday, November 1. "
