Caudle, the driver of tho second train in tlio recent disastrous collision at AisRill) Yorkshire, who was found guilty oil ji charge of tho manslaughter of Sir Arthur Douglas, has been sentenced to two months' {imprisonment in the second division. The Judge (Sir Horace A.vory), in passing sentence, said that Caudle had rushed on recklessly. Tho coal trouble experienced did not excuso neglect to take notice of tho signals. Caudle's conscienco would haunt him for tho remainder of his-life. That would bo a severe punishment in itself, but it was ncccssary to pass a sentence in tlio interest of the safety of travellers.
