• ———t- . IT'S CELEBRATION.' . i AN INTERESTING REPRINT. Of all the victories of tho British arms, thoro is none which is moro widoly-known ur> celebrated than that of '.Trafalgar, when the fleet, wider Admiral Lord Nelson, completely vanquished tho combined navies of Franco -and Spain on October 21, 1805. Trafalgar Day was celebrated yesterday in most of tho ."Wellington schools. Tho children were paraded in tho playgrounds, whore the teachers -delivered short addresses on •the great battle, and tho national flag was hoisted. Dr. A. K. Newman, M.P. for Wellington Suburbs, attended the ceremony at the Kilbirnie School, and delivered an address. A Press Association message from Christchurch states . that Trafalgar. Day was marked by a display of flag's, and tho decoration of the Victoria Square monument! with three laurel wreaths in memory of tjio British, French, ■ and Spanish sailors. Other wreaths wero received from the schools, where, special lessons wore given in some cases.
