President Wilson, after a conference with the Secretary of tho Department of Labour, has decided to admit Mrs. Pankliurst, the Suffragette leader, into the United States territory on her own recognisances, that slio may fulfil lecture engagements. _ The Immigration Commissioner lias, issued a statement to tho effect that there is nothing on record to show that the British Government sought to have Mrs. Pankliurst returned to England, and that apparently 110 effort was being niado to compel her to serve the whole of hor sentence of three years. Mrs. Pankliurst, immediately after tho decision of tho President was given effect to, drove to Mrs. August Belmont's house—Mr. August Belmont is a millionaire hanker—where she is at present a guest.
