At tli© trial of tlio Jewish clerk Beiliss on a charge of the murder of tlio boy Yushchinsky, in April, 1912, Yisclimorsky, an old man, testifii'd that a friend of liis, one Ravitch, had narrated that his wife entered Chebrijak's dwelling two or threo months after Yushchnisky's murder, and saw in a batli Yushchinsky's body wrapped in a carpet. Vera Chebrijak defrayed their passage to America, and signed tlio counterfoils also. Oral evidence flowed that Beiliss had been working all day on tho date of Yushchinsky's disappearanco. There aro ominous advices from the town of Minsk, wliore tiiero is an antiBomitic agitation, and from Kicff, where thero has been a distribution of Manifestos summoning tho populace to avenge Yushchinsky's murder. Similar noivs lias been received from other Jewish centres. Mishtclmk, a former chief detective iit Kieff, lias arrived at St. Petersburg to appeal against his sentence of twelve months' imprisonment for forging tho evidence of Yuschinsky's murder.
