SAFELY HOUSED. The "Britannia" aeroplane, presonteS to the Dominion by tho Imperial Air Fleet Committee, which arrived by tho s.s. A'thenic, ia 1101 V safely housed in tho shed which has been, erected at the Mount Cook Barracks, Bucklo Street,. and all tho parts, which arrived iu a huge wooden ease, have boen put together with tho exception of the pro- 1 ' poller, which is not yet to hand. Tho aeroplane may bo open for inspection lator, but no practical use is likely to 1 ' ha mado of it until tho return to New Zealand of Lieutenant Piper, who is undergoing a courso of military aeronautics at Aldershot, and who is ex-' pccted back in about six months' time, The aeroplane, which is a- two-seater, Bleriot, fitted with a 80 h.p. gnome ongino, and which was thoroughly tested before being shipped to New Zealand, by Mr. Guatav Ham el, who had previous- ) ly taken Sir Joseph Ward for an airstrip, is now fully rigged and is an imposing sight.
