Mrs. Pankhurst, thewWl-known Suffragette leader, arrived at tho Immigration Department at Ellis Island, New York. A special board of inquiry deliberated upon her case, and decided that hor ofreuces involved moral turpitudo. They ordered deportation. - , Mrs. Pankhurst's counsel filed an appeal at Washington over, tho jong-dis-tance telephone. Tho Immigration Commissioners decided to' hear arguments on tho Sunday. A crowd awaited tlio arrival of tho steamer.
