9 HIS REMOVAL FROM OFFICE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. October 19, 5.5 •p.m.) Now York, October 18. Ex-Governor _ Sulzor has issued a statement denying tho charges against him and alleging that some of tho Judges were personally interested in his removal from office,' and that Boss Murphy controlled the entiro proceedings. Tho Court, instead of being called tho Impeachment Court, ought, he said, to bo described as Murphy's Court or Infamy. Sulzer makes charges of wholesale graft against Murphy, declaring that liis efforts to securo investigation of such charges really led' to tho impeachment. The farce trial ho underwent had opened tho public's eyes to the millions of dollars lost annually "through graft. Tho trial was nothing less than political lynching, he Bays. The Progressive party has offered tho vacant Congressional nomination to Sulzer. HOW THE VOTING WENT, Now York, October 17. By 43 votes against 12, the Impeachment Court decided to removo Mr. Sulzor from office.
