BOYS' INSTITUTE.

In connection with tho bazaar to be held from October 28 to November 1, there are mauy competitions for all who patroniso tho bazaar, and for all who wish the Boys' Institute Week to be as successful as it deserves. For the children there is the great doll-dressing competition, for which 17 prizes aro offered in the three grades—children at primary schools, children at secondary schools, and an open class to any who aro not In classes 1 and 2. There will also be a cat show, and in this too there ia a class for children. In this connection the entrant who sent in an entry of grey chinchilla without giving the name or address is asked to write to Mr. Bennett. The third competition is the cake show, arranged by tho committee of the cake stall. There is a section for adults, and another for children, the classes including sponge, fancy, small, fruit, and iced and decorated fruit cake. The fourth show is the baby show, in which there are six classes, as under(l) Under G months, (2) under 12 months, (3) under 18 months. (4) twins (boys), (5) twins (girls), (6) twins (mixed). In all of these competitions trophies bto offered, and those who can enter should enter at once with the secretary (Bethune's Buildings, l'eatberston Strett.
