HERETAUNGA BOATING CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Heretaungft Boating Club, held on Wednesday evening, the following officers wore elected:—Commodore, Mr. J. A. M'Donald; vice-comodoro, Mr. H. Jj. Browne: jrcar-oommodoro, Mr. A. Jilttlo; secretary, Mr. TV. F. Bird; assistant secretary, Mr. P. Martin; treasurer, Mr. M'Dougall; committee, Messrs. Martin, W. Jenkins, Brady, and Head (2); auditors, Messrs.: Bcdingfiold and Taylor; trustees, Messrs. Howe, Ryan, and Jenkins. It was decided to open the season tomorrow. The opening will probably take the form of a procession along Potono beach, and a' start will bo made on the following Saturday with the season's racing. , . . The question of _ forming a yachting association was raised, and it was decided to call a meeting of delegates next week, to consider i/ho matter.
