A BRILLIANT ASSEMBLAGE;

By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright London, October 10, •Tho wedding of Princo Arthur of Connaught (son of H.11.H. tho Duko of Connaught) and the Duchess of Fife (daughter of the Princo.ss ltoyal) took placo to-day in tho Chapol Royal, St. James's Palace. Thoro was a brilliant assemblage.

The Primate (the Most Rov. Dr. Davidson, Archbishop of Canterbury) officiated. King George (uncle of the brido) gave tho bride away. Among tho other Royal personages present wero Queen Mary, tho Princo of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Connaught, and tho King and Queen of Norway (the latter is an aunt of tho brido).

Thero wore liugo, enthusiastic crowds in the streets.

Tho marriage presents numbered over GOO, valued at £300,000. They include jewels from Royal personages in England, Europo, japan, and India. Tho King and Queen's gift was a tiara containing 1000 diamonds. The Canadian Ministry presented a silver dinner service.

On tho four sides aro portrait panels, surrounded with garlands of heather, while lowor down aro hand-painted eillt panels bearing the monograms of tho bride and Bridegroom, and" their coats of arms. Tho exterior decoration sehemo is of loaves and sitting oupids.
