FAT CATTLE.

FOR NELSON SHOW. • Mr. F. W. Fairey has a fine line of 12 head of purebred Hereford- and Shorthorn cattle, weighing from 1200 t-o 17001b., which he intends showing for exhibition only at the forthcoming Nelson A., and P. Show. Some of the beasts have won champion prizes at many of the principal shows in New Zealand, a seven-year-old Hereford having won 18 firsts and four championships. Mr. Fairey intends to show one of tho beasts in competition against all New Zealand at the Auckland Show, and also will make another attempt to win tho blue ribbon at tho Royal Agricultural Show in Sydney next year. The cattle Were obtained from breeders in all portions of the Dominion, and experts, who have seen them grazing on Mr. Fairey's property consider them to bo some of the finest stock in New Zealand.
