SEPARATE WRITTEN TENDERS will be received up to Noon of FRIDAY, 31st OCTOBER, 1913, for tho Supply and Delivery of Stores, from Ist April, 1911, to 31st March, 1917, at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunetlin, lnvercargill, Greymouth, Westport, aud Nelson. Conditions of Contract anil Tender Schedules, as under, may be .obtained at the Railway Stores, Newmarket, Petone, Addington, Hillside, lnvercargill, Greymouth, Westport, and Nelson, and at the Comptroller of Stores' Office, Railway Buildings, Wellington, at which places a statement showing the consumption during tho year ended 31st March, 1913, may be examined:— (1) Schedule of General Stores required. (2) Supplementary Schedule of Railway Paints, Colours, etc. (3) Schednlo of Stores to bo manufactured in New Zealand. Merchants, Agents, and Importers are invited to quote for any item or items in the Tender Schedules which they may bo able to supply. Manufacturers are invited to tender for Stores to be manufactured in New Zealand. The Department reserves the right to accept or reject tho whole or part of any tender, or to accent on what is known as the "line to line principle—that is, tho lowest price tendered for each article throughout the schedule—or to accept what, in its judgment, iG the most suitable tender for any article throughout the schedule. Tenders to bo addressed to the General Manager, New Zealand Railways, 'Wellington, and to be marked outsido "TENDER FOR STORES." Telegraphic tenders will not be entertained.
