In tho French opon golf championship at Chantilly, Duncan won, his score being 304. Ho created a record for tho course with 73. The score of H. Gillies, of New Zealand, in the third round was 78. Ho failed in the fourth, and finished with 311. Ho was tho first of tho amateurs. Braid was second with 307. Ha equalled Duncan's 73 record. Other scores: —Sherlock, 309; Massy, 310; Gillies, 311; Taylor, 312; Gassiat, 315.
