, COMMITTEE MEETING. . The General Committee of the Manawatu A. and P. Association > received from tho Prime Minister, Mr. W. F. Massey, at its meeting oil Monday, his subscription of £1 for membership recently obtained. Lord Liverpool and the Countess of Liverpool will attend on tho second and third days of tho show (Thursday and Friday), and tho Countess of Liverpool will also exhibit (not for competition) some of her knitting. Mr. E. H. Ililev, General Manager of Railways, intimated that, if possible, ho iv 11 attend the show. The Romnoy Breeders' 'Association, which is arranging with other associations to erect a tablet to the late Mr. G. C. Wheeler, in the Wheeler Memorial Pavilion, on the Palmorston Show Ground, was voted £10 towards tho object; Wellington firms' donations, tlio chairman reported, have this year doubled. A very hoarty special vote of thanks was passed to them. An invitation from the authorities of tho Panama Exposition, inviting exhibits of sheep and cattle, and promising a ready sale for all such exhibits, ivao allowed to lie on the table, none of the members being ready at tho moment to offer stock for the purpose. With high eulogies of his services, the secretary, Mr. W. T. Penny, was voted an increase of £50 per annum in his salary.
