Steps will be taken to ascertain tho number of players affected. Representative Matches. Canterbury have offered January 1, 2, and 3 as the da'tes for playing Wellington in Christchurch. Otago propose that Wellington should meet them in Dunedin on tho Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of New Year week. Decision is postponed pending word from Auckland. The allotment of J. V. Saunders to some particular club is still further held over until after the first match.. Tho question of whether a second round or semi-finals and finals should bo played was discussed, and Messrs! Bcechoy and Goldfinch were appointed to draw up a. scheme.
