Y.M.C.A. DISPLAY.

The Opera House is to be occupied to-night by members of the Y.M.C.A. Gymnastic and Physical _ Culture Ciasses, who aro giving their annual display. Among the items is an' exhibition of Swedish drill by men. The exorcises are tho samo as those _ performed by 18,500 gymnasts in Switzerland last year. Tho ladies and girls aro giving a novel lantern march, _ club swinging, and wand drill. Exhibitions of tumbling and ju-jitsu aro to bo given by other performers. Tho box plan is at tho Dresden. Doors open at 7.30, and tho perfornianco commences at 8.

Tho following officers at the request of tho New Zealand Government, bavo been nominated by the Army Council for servico in Now Zealand for a period of two years:—Captains A. C. Eobinson, C. L. Davis, N. C. Hamilton, and H. H. Wright. They aro all unmarried officers, who have acted as adjutants of tho Army Servico Corps brigades of the Territorial Forcoß at Homo. In tho Dominion they will be engaged upon work in connection with the establishment of tho Army Service Corps.
