THE WEATHER.
V SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for increasing easterly to northerly winds; weather dull and overcast, with considerable rain following, especially in the South Island. Barometer falling everywhere. The conditions during the remainder of tie week will probably bo generally unsettled, and cold and stormy, at the close.
The weather has been cloudy and misty, with much fog and drizzle in many parts, especially im the South Island. Atmospheric pressure has decreased everywhere, and easterly breezes have ruled.
