Alexander Ure, M.P., Lord Advocate for Scotland, has been appointed President of _ tho Scottish Cfcurt of Session. This involves a byelection for Linlithgowshire. Lords Dunedin and Hamilton have been appointed Lords of Appeal, and Mr. Justice Phillimore a Justice of tho 'Appeal Court.
