Threo Suffragettes waylaid Dr. Forward, a medical officer attached to Holloway Prison, and .thrashed him with a sjambok. Several scavengers, thinking tho man was attacking tho women, lield Dr. Forward wliile ho was being flogged. Tho assault was in rovengo for forciblo feeding. SYNAGOGUE INVADED. London, October 12. A number of Suffragettes during tho Day of Atonement Service at the Bayswater Synagogue, shouted, "May God forgive Herbert Samuel and Rufus Isaacs for denying freedom to women I May Ho forgive them for consenting to tho. torture of women! " CHANCELLOR BURNT IN'EFFIGY. London, October 12. An effigy of Mr. Lloyd George, Chancellor of tho Exchequer, was burnt in the street at Bedford, -and a Suffragettes' meeting was broken up. .Tho speakers escaped by climbing over tho railings of a churchyard. Tho crowd toro the railings down. Tho police rescued tho women. "CHOIR" AT ST. PAUL'S. (Rec. Octobcr 14, 0.15 a.m.) London, October 13. Thirty Suffragettes disturbed the sor'vice at St. Paul's Cathedral with the usual chant.
