DEATH OF AN INFANT. Tho Wellington District Coroner (Dn A. M'Arthur, S.M.) held an inquest yes-! terday touching .tho-death of an infani| in a homo. A verdict was returned! that the child died from convulsions,! brought about by natural causes, LINE WORK~ ALOFT. THE MAN ON THE TOWER WAGONI Auckland, October 13. Alfred Olney, a linesman employed' by the Tramways Company, was seri-' ously injured by tho collapse, of tha towor wagon yesterday. Olney was 011! tho top of tho towor when tho horses becamo frightened, swung round, and bolted. A suddeu turn broko tho tower: from the body of the wagon, and it fell to tho ground, Olney being pinned underneath, sustaining several cerebral injuries. His condition is critical. SOMBRE AFFAIR.
