A sitting of tho Petone Police Court was held this morning beforo Messrs. A. Coles and R. W. Short, J.P.'b. John Kobertsonj 'remanded (from Saturday oil a charge of stealing a number of, articles, and who was unablo to givo a satisfactory explanation as to how ho camo into possession of tho s&me, was convicted and discharged and ordered to lcavo tho town by noon. Prohibition orders wero issued against E. K. Kevill a'nd E. J. M'lntosli.
