MILK MUD.
Sir, —A half-truth is worse than a whole falsehood at any time. Mr. Greville's strictures havo to bo judged by the spirit that moved them. One newspaper they wero offered to used a proper discretion, and while publishing the full gist of tho matter, left no cause for correction. The matter is not new, it is not true (not in tho way it is put), the remedy fully tried and found wanting, and tho motivo merely spleen. Mr. Groville intruded on tho Lambton platform, and had to be ordered off, ho then tried a committee of the House, and failed to secure all tho attention he expected, and falls back on milk mud, on which ho oilers no new information, only a garbled account from foreign sources not having any direct bearing on the local supply at all. _ Tho subject is one upon which there is a vast amount to bo said and' done, and tho constituted authorities are doing it, not extraneous, irresponsible, medlers, who come in merely to show off. —I am, oto., HENRY bodley.
