RE BIBLE IN SCHOOLS IN SIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND.
Sir, —I have noticed lately, and for some time, Mr. W. T. Grundy, of tho Clyde Quay School, has taken an activo part ro Bible in schools. _ J?? 7 ' in the city he conjes from, viz., Uirmingham, tho Bible is and has been read in schools since the start of board schools. In fact, there is a Bible Eight, and I believe the late Mr. (j. Dixon, M.P., and Miss Fredrick wore 011 the first committee. One morning a week a Scripturo lesson is given. Parents who object to it'can have tho children lea,ve before _ lessons. Mr. Grundy was ' also in Queensland, which has now adopted the Bible in schools; and, judging by events, it will not be long before_ our children will bo receiving some Scriptural instruction in tem known as the New South \\ ales svstem. —I am, etc., y interested.
