Mr. W. F. Mackie, father of Mr. Clias. Mael;ie, of I'atea, died at Sandon Bloc];, Mangamako, oil Wednesday morning. The deceased was one of the oldest settlers in tho district, having resided oil the farni for some 23 years. Ho is survived by a. daughter and two ions—ills.
