A largely-attendod meeting of those interested, was held on Wednesday night to mako arrangements for the Bporta meeting which is to bo held cn tho May Morn Recreation Grounds at Mnngaroa on November 29. Thoro wore close on 40 persons at tho mooting, which was held at tho May Morn Mills. Tho carnivaj is to bo an annual fixture, and is expccted to attract a largo number of visitors from town, as convenient trains run to Mangaroa, which is only some 22 miles out from Wellington, Mr. T. M. Wilford, member for the district, was elected patron, and Mr. Arthur Sood president. Mr. H. Hall is secretary for the meeting, and Mr. M. L. Hortor assistant-secretary, and Mr. T. Maloney troasuror.
