WATERSIDE WORKERS.
THE SIDNEY CONFERENCE. By Telegraph—Presi Afuoolitlon—CoDTriihl Sydnay, October 10. Tho Waterside Workers' Confercnco has negatived a motion in favour of not working between midday on Saturday and Monday morning, carrying an amendmont that, subject ~to local conditions, no work sfiould be done after midday on Saturdays. The conference ako resolved that members required to work after 11 o'clock at night should bo allowed to finish the hatch; in that caso the men to bo paid for not less than four hours. If the work bo not finished within four hours, then tho men to bo paid up to 6 o'clock in the morning.
