Word has just been received that Mr. Malcolm M'Cormick, who has been holdin!; exhibitions of original water-colours, oil paintings, drawings, and etchings by aid and modern masters, is to giro an exhibition in this city in the near future, and, judging by his reported success in 'the southern towns, the art-lovinp portion of the public in Wellington aro in for an artistic treat. Amongst the exhibits there arc, it is stated, some fine and exceptionally raro' of original antique drawings and etchings by_ Rembrandt, Van' Dyck, Qatido Icjraine, Nichilas Poussin, and other old masters. A full account of the intended exhibition will bo given in onr advertising columns at an early date. Meantime, Messrs. Wm. It. Tnnibull and Co., in whose rooms the exhibition will bo held, will supply further information, and n general indication io inquirers of the fine and rare specimens of art to bo exhibited.
