There aro now three tree-planting prisou-camns in the Dominion—viz., Waiotapu and Waipa Volley in tho North Island, and ITanmer Sprint in tho South Island. There were 78 prisoners nt these camns at the end of 1012, mnl a considerable amount of planting, clearing, fencing, nnd other work was carried oiif during the year. "Whit," asks a wag. "what is society, after all, but a mixture of mister-ies, and miss-erics?" Has ho forgotten tho mistakes and tho mis-fortunes?
