THS NORTHERN ASSOCIATION. The last annual report {fiat the Bowling Association will issue is to be placed before members at tho general meeting to bo held on Tuesday next. Tlio report states that during tho year negotiations for tho amalgamation of the North and South Island were continued, a final 'settlement was arrived at in July and ail bowling clubs in the "Dominion aro now enrolled under ono banner. The Executive of the Northern Association is of tho .opinion that tho now order of control win be found to bo of advantage to all bowlers. Tho first meeting of tlio now association was held in Duncdin on September 10. As lor the Northern Association —after 22 years it ceases operations with tho largest membership of any association in Australfa—72 clubs and a membership of over 6000. To mark the interesting event of tho amalgamation, the secretary of tho Northern Association has compiled a .record in brief form. These records will doubtless bo found of interest and especially so to those delegates who have Tieeh connecitM with tho association for some timo (adds tho report). Tlio year clubs affiliated is shown. Possibly among tho records will bo found many events worthy of noto, but none moro so tTian the fact that - Air. AV. M.
