$, STEAMER SPLIT IN FOUR. - By Telctrraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rco. October G, 0.15 a.m.) London, October 5. Tho stoamor Gardenia collided with the collier Cormvood in a fog in tho North Sea. The Gardenia sank in four minutes, before tho boats could be lowered. The boilers exploded, splitting tho vessel in four. Tho crow wero saved, clinging to the wreckage. Eighteen aro missing.
