SMOKE CONCERT AT PETONE. Tho Petono Football League held S smoke concert on Saturday evening iii' Jonos'a Central Hall, Mr. M. J. Rear- 1 don presiding over a largo, gathering,Toasts wore honoured, and items wercf rendered by Messrs. Dent, Kerr, Brico, Glading, Caloinai, Senior, and Hey.Mr. H. W. Head was pianist. During tho evening Mr. Brico, on behalf or tho junior A team, presented Mr. E. Tovey with a largo framed photograph of tlie team, for services rendered. It' was intimated that this function, would bo an annual affair. MARRIED V. SINGLE. , A largo crowd gathered on Saturday afternoon at Petono to witness tho match, Married v. Single, under Leaguo' rules. "Married" played with nine men against a full 1 team. Barber, Ashton, Whitley, Brico, and Cliilds scored, aiid K. Barber kicked a goal.
