e Colonel E. S. Heard, Acting-Com-mandant, is going to Auckland on Wednesday and from thero to Hamilton to arrange for the staff tour which is to be held next January in t'lie Hamilton and Cambridge district, the _ tour being for staff officers and senior Territorial officers. Last year it was held near Tomuka, in tho Canterbury dis-. trict. The Commandant's visit to the South Island to investigate the Sutton "duck- ' ing"'. incident has been postponed owing to pressure of business. D Company of the 15th Wellington Regiment (late Civil Service Rifles) is having a whole-day parade at Trentham nest Wednesday under the command of Captain Hawthorne and Adjutant Richardson. ' The company, will be put through the first practices of the musketry course. •A match takes place this afternoon at Trentham between tho officers of the sth Regiment and tho Defence Staff Rifle Club. .
