Tho number of motor-cars imported into tho Dominion has been steadily increased for s'ome years past and last year tho combined vnluo of motor bodies and chassis imported wm considerably in excess of half a njilhon sterling'. Details of the prin-> cipal importations during; 1913 were : Bodies: United Kingdom, 673 valued at £60,281. United States of America, 914, valued at £50,239. Canada, 647 i valued at £26,560. ' Chassis: United Kingdom, 737 valued at £210,435. United States of America, 924 valued at £130,684. Canada, 648 valued at £70,291. During the March quarter of 1918 ( C 74 motor bodies, valued at £41,870, and 707 chassis, valued at £137,053, woro imported.
