Tho number of motor-cars imported into tho Dominion has been steadily increased for s'ome years past and last year tho combined vnluo of motor bodies and chassis imported wm considerably in excess of half a njilhon sterling'. Tho Hon. F. M. B. Fisher Rave some particulars at the Motor Trades reunion this week and the foli lowing are completer details regarding importations of bodies and chassis in th<s years indicated: — Bodies. Valuo Yoar. £ 1010 726 41,250 Ml 1,473 88,725 1912 2,265 139,423 1913 2,331 142,563 Chassis. iqin . 772 180,065 1911 1,524 316,3813 1912 2,340 422,660 1913 2,428 437,922 Tho United Kingdom easily takes firsti place amongßt tho countries sending motor bodies and chassis to Now Zealand, tho United Staj;es_ comos second and Canada third. Details of the prin-> cipal importations during; 1913 were : Bodies: United Kingdom, 673 valued at £60,281. United States of America, 914, valued at £50,239. Canada, 647 i valued at £26,560. ' Chassis: United Kingdom, 737 valued at £210,435. United States of America, 924 valued at £130,684. Canada, 648 valued at £70,291. During the March quarter of 1918 ( C 74 motor bodies, valued at £41,870, and 707 chassis, valued at £137,053, woro imported.
