s N.Z. SHIPPING COMPANY RAISING ITS CAPITAL. By Telenrrapli—Press Association— Oopyrteht (Reo. Octobor 3, 11.5 p.m.) i London, Octobor 3. The Now Zealand Shipping Companyintends to increase its ordinary capital to £1,000,000, and to create a million preference shares, in sis per centnm cumulative, the holders of which will receivo paid-up new ordinary shares of fOs. in respect of their existing £8 shares, and one paid-up preference share In of every four ordinary shares. It is not intended to immediately issuo tho balance of the preference shares, which will bo reserved for future requirements. , .. , The company has declared' ft dividend of 16s. per £8 Bhare, and carried forward £25,884. Last year 27,818 moro shares of each, fully paid up, were issued, in connection with the acquisition by the company or a controlling interest in the Federal Steam Navigation Co. Previously the share oapital of the company totalled <£173,810,' so that the present capital is £696,38-1.
